BULACAN MUSLIM COORDINATING COUNCIL TIES WITH TESDA BULACAN FOR SKILLS TRAINING
TESDA and the Bulacan Muslim Affairs Coordinating Council signed a memorandum of agreement last August 12, 2016 for the skills training of the members of the Muslim Community in Meycauayan. Sultan SALEH ALI GAMOR, Chairman of the Bulacan Muslim Affairs Coordinating Council signed the MOA in behalf of the Council while PD Grace Corazon C. Castillo signed in behalf of TESDA Bulacan.
Sultan Gamor solicited the assistance of TESDA in the skills training of their 4,000 members in the province to acquire the necessary skills for employment and or livelihood to make them socially and economically self- reliant. The initial survey from members identified two programs which will be conducted by the Regional Training Center- Guiguinto, these are Dressmaking NC II and Domestic Appliance Repair Leading to Electronics Product Assembly and Servicing NC II. RTC Guiguinto will provide the training equipment, supplies and materials and Trainors while the Council shall provide the training venue. Other available scholarship programs like the Private Education Student Financial Institution (PESFA) and the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) are also offered to the members of the Council.
Likewise, the support of the Municipal
Government of Meycauayan was sought by both the Council and the TESDA in the provision of sewing machines for the training and in the employment facilitation of the graduates thru their Public Employment Services Office (PESO).
The conduct of the initial program on Domestic Appliance Repair is scheduled within the month of August 2016 after some physical preparation at the training venue
