2019 Central Luzon Regional Skills Competition Kicks Off
“To stay at the TOP, There is no way but UP”, this is the theme of the 2019 Central Luzon Regional Skills Competition. The Opening Program was held at the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy in San Narciso, Zambales this 21st day of May 2019. The objective of this event is to search for the best competitor who would be representing the region in the National and International competition. Moreover, it is to maintain the standing of the region of being the champion in the Philippine National Skills Competition. The region is a four-time champion of the PNSC.
Participated by competitors from technical-vocational institutions coming from the seven (7) provinces of the region, they are competing in 20 trade areas. These are in the areas of joinery, cabinet making, refrigeration and air-conditioning, fashion technology, electrical installation, beauty therapy, hairdressing, IT network administration, IT software solution, and information network cabling..
Also, in web technologies, electronics, graphics design technology, mechanical engineering-CAD, mobile robotics, restaurant service, plumbing, welding, cookery and automobile technology.
2018 ASEAN Skills Competition Silver Medalist Ramon Bong V. Bautista lighted the flame of the competition. It is followed by the entrance of provincial delegation and hoisting of TESDA provincial banners and the entrance of colors by PMMA cadets.
Guest Speaker, Ms. Gregoria Simbulan, the Regional Governor of North Luzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 
on her inspirational message said that TESDA skills training programs became the solution of job mismatch in the country. She also highlighted the importance of TVET graduates to augment the need for manpower in the country.
Director Dante Navarro, TESDA Region 3 Regional Director, declared the Opening of the 2019 Central Luzon RSC.
The 4-day event will have its closing program, awarding of winners and announcement of its over-all winners on May 24, 2019 at PMMA.
