2nd Training of Trainers on Kapampangan Heirloom Cuisine

On October 25, 2023, TESDA Pampanga conducted the 2nd Training of Trainers on Kapampangan Heirloom Cuisine, which was attended by 22 Cookery trainers at the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management Corp. in Batis Asul, along MacArthur Highway in Sto. Domingo, Angeles City.
The training commenced with a welcoming remark from Chef Shoilo Sarmiento, the Officer-in-Charge of ISCAHM, followed by words of encouragement from Ms. Maria Edita Hernandez, the Supervising TESD Specialist of TESDA Pampanga, and Keynote Address from RD Toni June Tamayo, the Regional Director of TESDA Region III.
Two chefs were invited to provide cooking demonstrations. Atching Lilian Borromeo demonstrated how to prepare san nicolas cookies and braso de mais, while Chef Howard Dizon showcased the creation of asadung matwa and bringhi. Following the demonstrations, the participants themselves underwent a return demonstration.
The primary objective of this training was to promote TESDA’s cookery program and to support and showcase Pampanga as the culinary capital of the country.
