A Skills Training Program on Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II

was organized for the benefit of twenty-five (25) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Talavera, Nueva Ecija. The program commenced on July 17, 2023, and is scheduled to end on September 1, 2023.
The Training Induction Program (TIP) was led by Ms. April Liza Chua, the Senior TESD Specialist and Scholarship Focal, who represented the TESDA Nueva Ecija Director, Elpidio Mamaril Jr. This initiative was made possible under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) in collaboration with Floriana Bao Sadian Technical Vocational School Foundation Inc., reinforcing TESDA’s commitment to empowering individuals and communities through skills development.
Through these endeavors, TESDA aims to equip individuals with the essential skills needed for self-improvement, ensuring that everyone, regardless of location, has access to quality training for personal growth and career advancement, contributing to their successful reintegration into society and opening new opportunities for their future endeavors.
