A three-day (3-day) peace orientation towards a transformation program for Communist Terror Group (CTG) former members took place at Headquarters 91st Battalion in Brgy. Calabuanan, Baler, Aurora. The normalization/de-radicalization process aims to encourage the former rebels to abandon the CTG Ideology and its radical indoctrination, to redirect them from the twisted views towards more truthful beliefs, to de-legitimize the CTG’s rhetoric schemes and black propaganda against the government and to address and prevent recidivism. An estimate of two hundred fifty (250) former members attended the program along with different national government agencies that presented their programs, services and job opportunities for the group. Senior TESD Specialist MR. JEROME H. LOPEZ gave a brief talk on the second day (June 23, 2022) about TESDA’s programs and services that includes scholarships and its benefits. Furthermore, he also highlighted the accomplishments of the agency for special clients like them specially to PRLEC Barangays.
