ACE-III and TESDA Region III conduct webinar on Mental Health and Wellness via Zoom and Facebook Live

In a bid to manage and sustain a strong and resilient workforce in the region, the officers and unit representatives of the Association of Concerned Employees-III Chapter (ACE-III) in cooperation with the management of TESDA-III headed by Regional Director Balmyrson Valdez successfully conducted a virtual seminar on Mental Health and Wellness in the Workplace on Aug. 20, 201.
Mr. Jeffrey DC. Lobos, a youthful social work practitioner and educator from Bulacan State University served as the resource speaker in a webinar which was participated in by the provincial directors, TESDA Training Institution administrators, and close to 200 staff, employees, and officials from TESDA in Region III.
The virtual seminar focused on how the pandemic caused by COVID-19 affected the way of living and adjustments to the working conditions of Filipinos specifically the government employees. The resource speaker was able to guide the participants on how to recognize and stress the importance of mental health and wellness; shared tips and coping mechanisms on how to effectively manage different kinds of work-related stress that impact on our state of mental well-being which in turn affect our respective work performance.
The event was organized as a prelude to the conduct of the week-long celebration of TESDA’s 27th anniversary from August 23-27, 2021 themed TESDA @ 27: Pagbangon, Pag-asa at Pag-abante sa Bente Syete” under the leadership of Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña, PhD, CSEE.
