Aurora Joined in 27th TESDA Anniversary Celebration
TESDAMAYAN sa Aurora over again on August 24 and 27, 2021. TESDA-Aurora led by the Provincial Director GENARO RONALD C. IBAY, took part in the week long celebration of the 27th TESDA Anniversary which started on the 23rd of the month. As the region wide culmination of the celebration, Aurora tirelessly reached out to community members needing help. On August 27, PTC-Baler led by the Officer-In-Charge, ENGR. ALLAN M. LEANDER, brought assistance to a trainee who suffered loss of personal belongings because of fire. Clothes, foods and kitchen utensils were brought to Mr. Marito Bihasa of Brgy. 4, San Luis, Aurora. Also on August 24, PTC-Baler shared its baked goods thru a community-pantry within the area. Many of the assisted households are informal settlers.
An important part of the 27th TESDA Anniversary Celebration was the World Café of Opportunities and the National TVET Enrollment Day, on August 25-27. MS. GUERLIE G. ESPINA of PTC-Baler and Mr. JEROME H. LOPEZ of Aurora Provincial Office, informed the public about this important event via an interview with the 92.1 FM RVT-Baler, on August 24. From the WCO applicants, there were 2 welders, 2 electricians and 1 bookkeeper hired by the EC Palmero Builders, Inc., and 2 bakers hired by the Hokam’s Food Products. A total of 7 workers benefitted. From the National TVET Enrollment Day participants, there were 11 enrolled in Organic Agriculture Production NC II, 34 in Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II, 9 in Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II and 1 in Bread and Pastry Production, a total of 63 enrollees benefitted.
