AURORA PROVINCIAL SKILLS COMPETITION 2022

In line with TESDA Circular No. 65 series of 2021, TESDA Aurora conducted the 2022 Provincial Skills Competition (PSC) on June 2 and 3, 2022. The three (3) Skill Areas were Bakery, Hairdressing and Beauty Care with venues at Provincial Training Center (PTC Baler) and People Empowerment & Advancement Center for Employment (PEACE) Training Center respectively. The event aims to showcase the competence of technical-vocational education and training (TVET) trainees with high hopes of carrying them up to the Regional and National Level to compete in the Philippine National Skills Competition, and hopefully, at the ASEAN Skills Competition.
The opening program was attended by the Technical Vocational Institutions (TVI’s), participants and guests was held at Baler, Municipal Grounds. Ms Cylie Amor G. Litao, OIC-Provincial Director, TESDA-Aurora delivered the welcome remarks followed by messages from Mr. Sherwin G. Amatorio (Provincial PESO Manager), Ms. Estrella C. Buenaventura of Cornerstone Training & Learning Center (President-Aurora Association of Technical Vocational Institutions-AATVI), Mr. Ryan John M. Soriao (Executive Assistant of Baler Mayor Rhett Ronan T. Angara), and an inspirational virtual message from TESDA Tarlac Provincial Director, John T. Adawey (Chairman of TESDA III Regional Skills Competition). The competitors and experts were presented by Senior TESD Specialist, Jerome H. Lopez followed by the Lighting of Skills Competition Torch and Oath of Experts and Competitors led by Gold Medalist in Beauty Care, 2018 National Skills Competition Ms. Fitz M. Mulos. On the last part of the program, Mr. Edgardo D. Suarez, Supervising TESD Specialist officially declared the opening of the 2022 Aurora Provincial Skills Competition.
The program culminated with Ms. Nicole Ann M. Poblete winning Gold for Beauty Therapy and Joanna Queen M. Lopez of PEACE Training Center also won the Gold for Hairdressing. Ms. Irish V. De Leon of PTC-Baler gets gold in Bakery, Ms. Shila May A. Ubaldo of Careworth Education Center Inc. Gets Silver Medalist. The competitors were awarded during the closing ceremony at PTC-Baler.
