Awards Night of the TATAK TESDA Video Making Contest set
Out of 187 video entries submitted for the TATAK TESDA Video Making Contest, 20 were selected to be the finalist – 10 for school category and 10 for individual category. From the Top 20 videos, two (2) came from Region 3. These are the videos of Mr. Ryan Manalang of Pampanga for the Individual Category; and Philippine Women’s University – Bataan featuring the story of Mr. Argie Roque for the School Category.
The two finalists from Region III would be among those that would be screened by the committee and the members of the Board of Judges during the awards night to choose the winners for the following categories:
a.Best in Video (Cinematography):Graduate: P25,000 and trophyTech-Voc Institution: P250,000 worth of TWSP scholarship and trophy; b.Best in Story(Screenplay):Graduate: P25,000 and trophyTech-Voc Institution: P250,000 worth of TWSP scholarship and trophy; c.People’s Choice Award:Graduate: P50,000 and trophyTech-Voc Institution: P500,000 worth of TWSP scholarship and trophy; and d.Grand Winner:Graduate: P100,000 and trophyTech-Voc Institution: P1 million worth of TWSP scholarship and trophy.
According to Secretary Joel Villanueva, TESDA Director General “The success achieved by our graduates and technical vocational institutions should be recognized and showcased to inspire others,” In addition, he said that “We want them (the TVET graduates) to share their thoughts, tell their stories and unleash their creativity by joining this contest. The best models to promote our programs are our graduates,” he added.
The Awards Night would be held at the PAGCOR Grand Theatre in Paranaque City and the program would start at 6:00 PM
