Ceremonial Turnover of Starter Toolkits
TESDA Region III
On December 14, 2023, TESDA Provincial Office Aurora, headed by Provincial Director Elpidio D. Mamaril, Jr., led the ceremonial turnover of starter toolkits in different qualifications under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) at the Baler Central School Covered Court, Baler, Aurora.
A total of two hundred forty (240) starter toolkits were distributed for the Qualifications of Plant Crops, Produce Organic Fertilizer, Bread Making and Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I. Said scholarship programs were implemented with the help and support of Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” M. Angara and Congressman Rommel Rico T. Angara.
During the event, Congressman Angara commended the STEP scholars for their hard work and dedication. He emphasized the importance of vocational education in empowering individuals and driving economic growth. He assured his unwavering support for TESDA programs and initiatives, recognizing its role in equipping individuals with the skills needed for employment and entrepreneurship. Ms. Lian Angara, on behalf of Mayor Rhett Ronan T. Angara, echoed Congressman Angara’s pronouncement, expressing her gratitude and commitment in supporting the beneficiaries of TESDA programs in their pursuit of a better future.
Mr. Jerome H. Lopez, Senior TESD Specialist and Scholarship Focal, further highlighted the collaborative efforts between the local government and TESDA in uplifting the community through skills development.
The initiative aims to uplift the lives of the people in Aurora by providing them with sustainable means of income generation and improving their overall quality of life.
