Congw. Yap allocates scholarship fund

Tarlac Congresswoman Susan A. Yap allocated a total of P1.8 million from her Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) as scholarship to tech-voc students and P680, 000 for the community-based training programs for the 2nd District of Tarlac.

The scholarship fund, which will be managed by TESDA-Tarlac under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), shall benefit at least 265 scholars. The courses to choose from are: computer hardware servicing, electrical installation and maintenance, refrigeration and air-condition servicing, automotive servicing, food and beverage services, bartending, housekeeping, consumer electronics and shielded metal arc welding. The training institutions identified to deliver the scholarships are the Tarlac Provincial Training Center, Advanced Institute of Technology, St. Paul College of Tarlac, USST Colleges, and Tarlac School of Arts and Trades.

The scholarship program is part of Congw. Yap’s continuing commitment and support to TESDA-Tarlac in its quest to produce highly-skilled Tarlaqueños.
