Discuss the Training Programs and Assessment Services Conducted by TESDA

On October 10, 2022, TESDA Zambales Provincial Director Melanie Grace T. Romero had an audience with Mayor Jonathan Khonghun of Subic, Zambales to discuss the training programs and assessment services conducted by TESDA in the municipality as well as the Mandanas-Garcia ruling for the devolution of basic services including TVET.
PD Romero encouraged the local chief executive to include in the municipality’s local development plan and budget the offering of TVET under the LGU’s jurisdiction and management. As a response, Mayor Khonghun mentioned that he intend to re-open TVET programs at the Kolehiyo ng Subic, an LGU-run institution, and have instructed the institution’s personnel to communicate with TESDA for the program registration. PD Romero committed to extend the necessary assistance in order that this endeavor will be achieved.
