GPSAT was one of the Technology Training Institutions considered as Farmer’s Field School (FFS)

GPSAT was one of the Technology Training Institutions considered as Farmer’s Field School (FFS) through Rice Extension Services Program (RESP) because of its vast land area. And one of the requirements for this is the establishment of the rice farm in GPSAT vicinity led by FFS Trainer Mr. Charlie Valencia. During the preparation for FFS course, the trainer identified the 1500 sq. meter land where the rice will be planted. A variety of rice which is Hybrid PHB 73 was planted from which its maturity is 120 days.
On July 12, 2021, the most awaited harvest day has come, wherein from the 1500 square meter land, it generated 18 sacks of rice, each sack weighs from 49 to 60kilos. The harvesting of rice was overseen by the school administrator, Alvin G. Sagum. The harvested rice was sold to the staff of the school that serves also as the Income Generating Project (IGP) of GPSAT. A total of 15,300 was generated from the rice which will be use for future project in FFS.
This is just a proof that GPSAT is really doing its best and share to continuously live with its vision and mission and achieve its objectives and be part of the success of the community.
That TESDA-GPSAT is an institution for “Better and Brighter Future”.
