Korean garments firm sign up for DTS
The Dong in Group of Companies, a garments-based Korean company operating in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB), is the latest to join the Dual Training System (DTS) bandwagon as a partner of the Regional Training Center-Central Luzon-Mariveles (RTCCL-Mariveles).
Dong-In Group Executive General Manager Ki Jung Park and General Manager Myung Jae Baek signed the memorandum of agreement with RTCCL-Mariveles Center Chief Jaime Castillo at the company’s office in the FAB last December 10, 2012. The agreement effectively covers the five member-companies of the Dong-In Group: Almatech Manufacturing Corporation, DI Dawn Patrol Manufacturing Corp, Dong-In Entech K-1, Inc., East-Cam Tech Corp., and the Mountaineering Instruments Corp.
Essentially, the agreement is for the conduct of industrial sewing machine operation (ISMO) training to produce backpacks, chilled carriers, strollers and harness. The training program will start on January 2013 with an initial batch of 200 sewers.
RTCCL-Mariveles’s roster of company-partners also includes Mitsumi Philippines, Inc., Chun Chiang Manufacturing Corporation, and FCF Manufacturing.
