
Launching of Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) of DOST- Tarlac
TESDA Tarlac headed by Provincial Director Engr. John B. Adawey attended the Launching of Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) of DOST- Tarlac held at Ramos Covered Court, Ramos, Tarlac on July 30, 2021.
The Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) program aims to provide livelihood and alleviate poverty in remote communities. The program’s implementation entails provision and transfer of technology-based livelihood projects to the identified communities. This will also facilitate the transfer of technologies to beneficiaries along the areas of education, health and nutrition, water and sanitation, disaster risk reduction, and industry development or livelihood.
On the other hand, TESDA Tarlac also supports the DOST-Tarlac’s project entitled “Establishment of Sewing Facility” by providing scholarship training program on Dressmaking NCII to the beneficiaries/ members of GP-125 Golden Pance Multi-Purpose Cooperative at Sitio Paoay, Guiteb , Ramos, Tarlac under their Expanded Implementation of CEST (eCEST) Program.
