Launching of the MOA between LTO and TESDA for Drivers’ Education Center

RD Balmyrson M. Valdez was joined by PD Jovencio M. Ferrer, Jr. of Bulacan and PD Eric O. Ueda of Pampanga in the coordination meeting with the Land Transportation Office of Region 3 at Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga last May 26, 2021. The group of TESDA was welcomed by LTO-III Regional Director Eduardo De Guzman with his Assistant Regional Director and other key personnel. During the meeting the TESDA-LTO Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was discussed.

The MOA will empower TESDA and its training centers to offer the Theoretical Driving Course and the Practical Driving Course equivalent to that being offered by the LTO Driver’s Education Centers. The TESDA Driving National Certificates courses will be equivalent to those offered by LTO.

Further, it will harmonize rules to ensure quality training for drivers. The MOA will complement the existing trainings to address uniformity and standard, at the same time comply with the ease of doing business. This will greatly help the LTO respond to the demand for quality and less expensive driving courses.
