LOOK: GPSAT Community Pantry

One of the heartwarming projects that gained support throughout the country is the establishment of Community Pantry that goes with the theme “Kumuha ayon sa Pangangailangan, Magbigay ayon sa Kakayahan”. This act is one of the ways from which different communities shows support and love for each other.
On April 26, 2021, TESDA-GPSAT through the leadership of its Vocational School Administrator, Dr. Alvin G. Sagum and his staff set up its own Community Pantry with coordination of LGU San Luis. Goods like rice, noodles, eggs, dried fish, coffee, mangoes, vegetables like Upo, Ampalaya and others were given by the management and staff while vegetables like Eggplant and Tomatoes were harvested from the Mini-organic farm of the School. All of these foods were placed and arranged in the table for the people of San Luis. Residents from the different barangays of San Luis like Sta. Lucia, San Sebastian, Sto. Tomas and others came in the said GPSAT community pantry to get their foods and there were also individuals who came to share their blessings like face mask. Aside from the food in the pantry, residents were also informed on the different scholarship programs of the school and there were also individuals who listed their names and enrolled themselves for the incoming scholarship programs of the school.
The residents were very happy and grateful for this simple act of GPSAT, this is just one of the proofs that GPSAT is really doing its best to continuously live with its vision and mission and achieve its objectives and be part of the success of the community. That TESDA-GPSAT is not just an institution for “Better and Brighter Future” but also an Institution with a Big Heart.
