LOOK: Last May 20, 2021 two (2) events took place at RTC Mariveles’ vicinity
District II Congressman, Hon. Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia visited the members of Kabalikat/TUPAD (Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Ating Displaced Workers) to give orientation on the benefits of being a member of DOLE’s project TUPAD. He also shared some insights on the following projects which is included in this assistance and the manner on how they will earn profits. Such assistance is budgeted through congressional fund in partnership with DOLE. Included in this type of project is Agro-forestry such as planting, seed preparation and reforestation which is in line with DG Sec. Lapeña’s directives on agriculture.
Consecutively, Mariveles Municipal Mayor, Hon. Jocelyn Castañeda also pays visit for a courtesy call with the Congressman and meet the members of TUPAD in coordination with Center Administrator, Mr. Neil Santioque, for a continuous partnership of Livelihood training programs for this 2021.
Kabalikat/TUPAD members who are also maintaining the mini organic farm garden of RTC Mariveles is now harvesting the fruits of their labor through their Negosyo Center and while cultivating the soil, they are also nurturing their knowledge and skills through the different livelihood programs offer by the RTC Mariveles.
