LOOK: Seminar-Workshop on Vegetable Production conducted at RTC-Mariveles in partnership with Chai Tai Philippines.

With the initiative of Center Administrator, Mr. Neil G. Santioque, in coordination with Chia Tai Philippines, Inc., RTC Mariveles conducts Seminar-Workshop on Vegetable Production with thirty (30) participants consisting of KABALIKAT and OFW council members on May 26-27, 2021. This activity provides awareness on seedling propagation and management, mulching, identification of vegetable pests and diseases and plant nutrition. This two-day seminar consists of imparting knowledge through orientation discussion and open forum for the participants on their first day and following day was the actual demonstration and hands on activities which includes seedling propagation and mulching.
Appreciation of the program was evident on the faces of the participants as well as their eagerness to maintain their project at RTC Mariveles which is the mini organic farm garden. Such activities, Tesda was able to empower and make the people and communities more productive through promoting agribusiness and interventions which will be channeled to expand existing opportunities and develop new ones, thus inducing greater participation in line with our Secretary Lapeña’s directives.
