Meetings and Consultation
In line with the Agency’s preparatory efforts to devolve training functions to LGUs as provided by Sec. 29 of the TESDA Law, and in relation to Executive Order 138 and Mandanas-Garcia Ruling, TESDA Aurora led by Ms. Cylie Amor Litao, OIC-Provincial Director, together with Mr. Edgardo Suarez, Supervising TESD Specialist, Mr. Jerome Lopez, Scholarship Focal and Ms. Nerissa Barribal – UTPRAS Focal, made a series of visits and consultation meeting to all Local Government Units (LGUs) of Aurora (Baler, San Luis, Dipaculao, Maria Aurora, Dinalungan, Casiguran, Dilasag and Dingalan). These were conducted from January 23 to 26, and February 3, 2023.
The meetings and consultation aimed to provide technical assistance to LGUs in the establishment and/or improvement of municipal training centers thru capacity-building, scholarship provisions, and other forms of support. TESDA programs and services were also discussed during the meeting as well as the promotion of TVET in the communities and strengthening of the role of LGUs in the implementation of TESDA programs through the Community Training and Employment Coordinators (CTECs).
