Met with President Takeshi Yamamoto of NIDEC Subic Philippines Corporation
On February 2, 2023, TESDA Zambales headed by Provincial Director Melanie Grace T. Romero, met with President Takeshi Yamamoto of NIDEC Subic Philippines Corporation, a Japanese Manufacturing Company that produces reducers gears used for industrial robotics applications and other high technology products, located at Subic Bay Freeport Zone. The collaboration meeting intends to address the manpower needs of the said company in the operation of complex machines. Identified qualification to respond to the industry’s skills requirement is machining and mode of delivery discussed is through enterprise-based training.
Prior to the conduct of training, a working group composed of TESDA Zambales and NIDEC will develop the curriculum design and training plan which will be the basis for training delivery. It was agreed that TESDA Zambales will employ the presence of its
Expert and requested that NIDEC likewise enjoin the participation of its trainer.
TESDA continuously collaborates with the industries to respond to the skills requirements identified using the Area-Based and Demand-Driven Approach and thus reduce job mismatch.
