Nueva Ecija TESDAmayan joint project for the Victims of Typhoon Karding

October 18, 2022, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Nueva Ecija participated in the Joint Project Community Based Training Program “Soap Making Workshop, Pandesal Making and Eating, and Distribution of Lions Disaster Relief Goods” held at Umali Gym, Juan R. Liwag High School, Gapan City.
A livelihood and TESDAmayan project were initiated by the JVF Center for Technical Studies and Assessment, Inc. headed by Ms. Janette V. Fernandez along with, the Lions Club International, Kiwanis International Club, Department of Education, IVG Educational Institute Inc. headed by Ms. Nenita V. De Guzman and TESDA headed by the Provincial Director Elpidio D. Mamaril Jr., together with the Supervising TESD Specialist Raquel P. Baluyot. This project aims to help the community in General Tinio, San Leonardo, San Antonio, Jaen, Gapan, Peñaranda, Papaya, San Isidro, and Cabiao, which was greatly affected by Typhoon Karding. A total of 550 packs of relief goods were distributed on that day.
Meanwhile, dishwashing liquid soap making was also a successfully shared knowledge and skills, where they can start a business that would help their financial needs in these times of resiliency.
