Outreach Program : Guhit ng Kinabukasan

On November 11, 2023 the Provincial Training Center – Calumpit, in cooperation with Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Bayanihan team, conducted an outreach program entitled “Guhit ng Kinabukasan” a livelihood training program in a 10-day Doormat Making and Financial Education session for the Dumagats of Sitio Sapang Munti, San Mateo Norzagaray Bulacan situated within the Ipo Watershed.
Provincial Training Center – Calumpit held the Training Induction Program (TIP) led by Ms. Mareen Jia Regalado, Ms. Ronizel Oliveros, and Ms. Laura Opiana, the appointed qualified trainer for Doormat making. On the other hand, the BPI Bayan Volunteers hosted a comprehensive discussion about Financial Literacy, which will help the Dumagats with wise money management and how to set Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound (SMART) goals to reach their financial objectives. A total of 50 participants residing in the said Sitio attended the activity.
The livelihood training program aims to provide the Dumagat community an additional source of income by equipping them with new skills and knowledge in Doormat making.
