Provincial Training Center (PTC) – Baler under the Dual Training System (DTS) deployed a total of seventeen (17) trainees of Baking and Pastry Production NC II on the following food plants


The Dual Training System is an instructional delivery system of technical vocational education and training that combines in-plant and in-school training based on the training plan collaboratively designed and implemented by an accredited educational institution and business establishment. Its primary objective is to enhance the employability and productivity of TVET graduates by equipping them with analytical and creative thinking and problem-solving abilities; manipulative competencies which meet qualification standards requirements; values and attitudes with emphasis on work ethics, quality assurance, discipline, honesty, self-reliance, and patriotism.
Last June 9-10, 2022, in partnership with Deliscents Inc., the makers of the Mister Donuts bakery products, Provincial Training Center (PTC) – Baler under the Dual Training System (DTS) deployed a total of seventeen (17) trainees of Baking and Pastry Production NC II on the following food plants respectively:
a.) Pasig with ten (10) trainees
b.) Pampanga with two (2) trainees and
c.) Baguio with five (5) trainees.
The trainees were accompanied to their assigned plants by the OIC Provincial Director and PTC Baler Center Administrator MS. CYLIE AMOR G. LITAO, Industrial Coordinator and BPP NC II Trainer & Assessor MS. GUERLIE G. ESPINA, TESD Specialist I MS. NERISSE S. BARRIBAL and some support staff handling Enterprise-Based Training from the Provincial Office of Aurora. The deployment covered the following activities:
a.) Orientation of the basic house rules in the plant,
b.) tour of the plant facilities, and
c.) signing of the Training Agreement also took place on the same day.
Per the approved DTS MOA between PTC – Baler and Deliscents, Inc., these trainees are required to render a total of 2,880 hours in-plant training and will receive a training allowance not less than 75% of the applicable minimum daily wage rate prevailing in the province.
