RD Ted unveils state-of-the-art auto training facility in Subic

TESDA-III Regional Director Teodoro Gatchalian unveiled a state-of-the-art automotive servicing training facility of the Lyceum of Subic as part of the school’s mid-year commencement exercises.

“We have to commend and thank to Lyceum of Subic, led by its president, Mr. Alfonso Borda, for coming up with a modern automotive servicing training facility which is vital in producing quality tech-voc graduates that are job-fit for the industry,” RD Gatchalian said.

For his part, Borda reported that their automotive servicing graduates achieved a 100 percent employment rate due to the quality of training that the school provides. “Several companies have already approached us asking for our automotive graduates, which excite us even more since we can definitely increase enrollment and forge more industry partnerships thru TESDA’s Dual Training System (DTS),” he explained.

Meantime, TESDA Zambales Officer-in-Charge Virginia Bondoc expressed confidence that Lyceum’s initiative shall inspire other schools to emulate, boosting the quality and delivery of tech-voc training in the province, and consequently, benefit the industries which absorb the graduates.

Also present during the event were Commissioner on Higher Education Regional Director Virginia Akiate and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Senior Deputy Administrator for the Regulatory Group Jocelyn Alvarado.
