Regional skills Competitions 2021

After the successful conduct of the Provincial Skills Competition dated October 15, 2021 comes the Regional Skills Competition. The Provincial Training Center – Guagua aired on its regular time 10:00AM-11:00AM dated November 11, 2021 at Radyo Guagua 99.9FM headed by its Center Administrator Emily G. Feliciano together with Senior TESD Specialist Engr. Andres F. Cabalu as the guest expert to explain the concept of Skills Competition during the segment as moderated by the TESD Specialist II Marian S. Antonio.
During the segment, questions on the following were addressed, to mention were: What is the concept of the RSC, its purpose and objectives, who will be the participants, What are the advantages/benefit of the Skills Competition to the competitor, expert, participating school and TESDA as a whole.
Additionally, schedule of events was also mentioned which includes the possible outcome of the event and the plan of TESDA for those who will win in the competition. With this, Engr. Andy took the opportunity to acknowledge St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology Inc., the most active participating school who has been representing Province Pampanga and Region III with flying colors in the World Skills Philippines for several years now. He also further elaborates that with the Skills Competition the set of competency and qualification of the competitor representing the Institution is being showcased and serves as a trademark of the quality of education/training being offered by the institution.
This activity aims to encourage the other TVIs and TTIs to continually take part in the pride of developing and producing globally competitive trainees/graduates in this increasingly complex world as this year’s Skills Competition theme implies: “MOLDING RESILIENT WORKERS TOWARDS ECONOMIC RECOVERY AMIDST THE PANDEMIC”
