Sec. Villanueva leads mass graduation in Bulacan

Secretary Joel Villenueva, TESDA’s Director General, leads the mass graduation of more than 1,200 graduates of the agency’s Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) on March 1, 2013 at the Bulacan Gymnasium in Baliuag, Bulacan. The program was organized by the Bulacan Association of Technical Schools (BATS) in coordination with TESDA-Bulacan.

The graduates successfully completed trainings in Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Consumer Electronics Servicing, Massage Therapy, and Welding. Aside from handing out the training certificates, Sec. Villanueva also awarded tools as starting kits to the scholar-graduates which will come in handy especially those who are interested in puruisng self-employment. On the other hand, the Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment, Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office (PYSEACTO) of the Provincial Government of Bulacan assists the graduates in landing jobs in various industries within the province.

Other luminaries include Mayor Vicente Esguerra of Pulilan, Amancio Villamejor, Jr., Division Superintendent of the Malolos City Schools, TESDA Regional Director Teodoro Gatchalian, Millie Kaw, president of BATS, and Elizabeth Alonzo, chief of PYSEACTO.
