Clark, Pampanga – Community leaders and IP Youth from Indigenous Cultural Communities of Pampanga met with TESDA Secretary Isidro S. Lapena today during the agency’s 17th General Directorate Conference held at Clark Freeport Zone.
The dialogue centered on the challenges faced by Indigenous Peoples in the province in accessing and enjoying technical and vocational skills development programs of the agency, and identification of potential ways forward in addressing each challenges.
IPs from Mabalacat City (CADT 025-A), led by its Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representation (IPMR) to the Sangguniang Panlungsod Ms. Ruvielane Margarito in the meeting expressed their readiness to accept training programs from TESDA. Porac (CADT 123) IPs represented by its Municipal IPMR Mr. Edwin Abuque thanked the good Secretary for the agency’s community-based programs recently availed by his constituents.
As a way forward, NCIP Pampanga Community Service Center committed to assist in the social preparation-mobilization, and agreed to coordinate with TESDA Region III and Tesda Pampanga for the immediate formulation and implementation of a six-month plan.

During the dialogue, IP Youth from both ancestral domains were able to showcase their cultural performances as symbol of their gratitude and anticipation for an even brighter future of their indigenous communities.
