TESDA Bataan holds 2023 Provincial Skills Competition
To contrive and live up the objectives of the Skills Competition, TESDA Bataan, headed by Provincial Director Mariflor R. Liwanag, in partnership with the Bataan Federation of Technical Institutions, Inc. (BAFTII), led by Rea Rose Reyes, held the TESDA Bataan Provincial Skills Competition from November 29 to December 1, 2023 in Dinalupihan, Bataan.
The opening ceremony was held at the Bulwagan ng Bayan in Dinalupihan, Bataan last November 29, 2023, gracefully attended by Bataan Board Member Ramon Harold Espeleta, who delivered the message of Bataan Governor Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia III, Ofel Mendoza, Consultant for Social Services, whom represented Dinalupihan Mayor German M. Santos Jr., and Hector Lintag, PESO Dinalupihan Manager, Rea Rose Reyes of BAFTII, Aida Estacio, Center Administrator of Provincial Training Center-Orion (PTC-Orion), and Junjon L. Santuyo, Supervising TESD Specialist of Regional Training Center Central Luzon-Mariveles (RTCCL-Mariveles).
Adrian P. Atienza, gold medalist in welding in the 2022 PSC, lighted the flame/ torch of the competition, followed by the symbolic cutting of PSC chain. Director Mariflor R. Liwanag then officially declared the opening of the said competition.
The competition presented nine (9) different skills categories and areas comprising of IT Software Solutions for Business, Graphics Design Technology, Web Technologies, Information Network Cabling, Cooking, Restaurant Service, Welding, Electronics, and Tile Setting.
Awarding of certificate of recognition, medals and announcement of winners thrilled the audience and loud cheers and drumbeats of band were heard during the closing ceremony held last December 1, 2023 at the Bataan Peninsula Educational Institution, Inc.
Director Liwanag has expressed her gratitude to all technical vocational institutions’ officials and employees, TVIs association, experts and competitors, TESDA employees in the provincial office, TESDA Training Institutions (TTIs) and those individuals whom exerted efforts in organizing and preparing for the success of the said event.
After the rigorous battle in the 3-day provincial skills competition, the nine (9) gold medalists will then showcase their skills and knowledge and will represent the province of Bataan in the upcoming Regional Skills Competition
