TESDA-Central Luzon bares mid-year performance
TESDA-Central Luzon is on track to attain its targets in the enrollment, graduates, assessed and certified, and employment rate (EGACE) of TVET graduates as shown in its mid-year performance as of June 30, 2012.
Due to some technical and operational difficulties at the provincial level, the profiling of TVET enrollees is considered the ‘weakest link’ in the region’s output is the profiling of TVET enrollees, a challenge being addressed by the TESDA-CL Executive Committee (ExeCom).
“Despite our modest performance in the EGACE, the ExeCom remains focused to find ways to improve our systems and strategies to meet our targets specifically in the competency assessment and certification, and employment of TVET graduates,” explained by RD Ted Gatchalian. Aside from this, he stressed that the goal if to deliver the highest quality service to its partners and clients. “This is our commitment to our ISO 9001-2008 certification, and most especially, our commitment to the people of Central Luzon,” he said.
The provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, and Tarlac lead the way in EGACE performance, as shown in the table below. However, RD Gatchalian expects that the rest of the provincial units will exert their best to meet their respective goals by the end of the year.
