
TESDA NE and Partners: Assist Frontliners
Through the efforts of TESDA Nueva Ecija Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) and partner agencies, in coordination with the Local Government Units (LGUs) help mitigate the effects of COVID 19 through the following activities:
Asia Pacific College of Business and Arts tapped their graduates in Dressmaking NC II under TWSP and PESFA to produced three thousand (3,000) facemasks for kids and adults and at the same time packed hygiene kits. These were distributed to frontliners in various Barangays of Rizal, Llanera and Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija;
The Prestige Skills College Inc. in partnership with Palayan Councilor Julius Sta. Maria provided medicines (15boxes of 100s multivitamins, 10boxes of 100s ascorbic acid, 2boxes of 100s paracetamol, 8boxes of 100s ambroxol), vitamins (50packs of immunopro, 1 box of 100s B-Complex Vitamins), and three hundred (300) pieces washable facemasks to the residents of all Barangays in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija including the frontliners assigned in the entry/exit points of Palayan City – Barangay Cabu, Cabanatuan Boundary and Palayan City Infirmary;
On the otherhand, the TWSP scholars in Dressmaking NC II and Bread and Pastry Production NC II of Ako ang Saklay, Inc. under Self Service Facilities (SSF) of DTI founded by Rev. Fr. Arnold M. Abelardo decided to lockdown the center for the production of facemasks, bread, cookies and pastries, with the slogan “Walang Uwian at Labasan para sa Bayani ng Bayan!”. These were intended for hospital personnel and frontliners, as response to the call of Nueva Ecija Task Force Covid-19 in support to the Malasakit Project of Gov. Aurelio “Oyie” Umali. The production of facemasks and breads shall continue until considered necessary.
