
TESDA –NE Distributes Training Allowances and Simultaneous Training Coordination for IPs during ECQ
On May 7-8 and 11, 2020, while the province of Nueva Ecija is still on an Enhanced Community Quarantine, another set of training allowances under the Rice Extension Services Program (RESP) and the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) were distributed by TESDA Nueva Ecija and simultaneous coordination of training implementation for Indigenous Peoples (IPs), following the Social Distancing Measures and wearing of medical gears (facemasks/face shields, gloves, etc.) protocol.
A total of 198 scholars received their training allowances totaling to Php281, 340.00 for three days. On the first day, 50 RESP scholars on Farm Field School program of Gerry’s Integrated Farm at Laur, Nueva Ecija were catered; on the second day, there were three different venues at Bongabon, Nueva Ecija were distribution was conducted, the following were: 1.) 25 STEP scholars on Dressmaking NC II of JVF Training and Assessment Center, Inc. at Brgy. Tugatog, 2.) 50 STEP scholars (25-Tile Setting NC II and 25-Hilot Wellness Massage NC II) of Toplink Global College, Inc. at Brgy. Digmala, and 3.) 10 Indigenous Peoples (IPs) – STEP SMAW NC I scholars of John Gabriel Technological Institute, Inc. at Brgy. Labi and at the same time coordination with the barangay officials for proposed skills training for IPs since the barangay was identified as one of the priority as indicated in EO70/PRLEC. On the third day, May 11, 2020, still at Bongabon, Nueva Ecija, the distribution were conducted in the following: 1.) 17 STEP – SMAW NC I scholars of John Gabriel Technological Institute, Inc. in partnership with R. Nadora Training Center, Inc. at Brgy. Ariendo, 2.) 25 STEP – Tile Setting NC II scholars of Toplink Global College Inc. also at Brgy. Ariendo, and 3.) 25 STEP – Hilot Wellness Massage NC II of Toplink Global College Inc. at Brgy. Vega.
