TESDA Nueva Ecija Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program (TTSP) Mass Graduation
The graduation of the Tulong Trabahao Scholarship Program (TTSP) with a total of 350 scholars (14 batches) was conducted last September 10, 2022, at Cinema 1, SM Mega Center, Cabanatuan City.
The graduates were the students from the Philippine Academy of Technical Studies Inc. with the qualification of Event Management Services NC III, City College of Technology and Trade, Inc. having the Computer Systems Servicing NC II, and, lastly, the Multitech Skills Institute, Inc. with Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II.
SM Mega Center Assistant Manager Romar Verja, one of the guests, gave his message of assertion. “TESDA took advantage of the program to address the immediate skills need of the Filipino people, especially those greatly affected by the pandemic. The scholarship program will utilize to provide training for in demand as well as new immerging skills to produce workforces that are highly competent and can adapt to these rapidly evolving work structures both locally and internationally”, he stated.
Meanwhile, Ms. Shirley Pajarillaga, a trainer from the Language Skills Institute, also gave an inspirational message. She emphasized the 3 A’s – Acceptance, Appreciation, and Affection, in dealing with the Covid pandemic. “Accept the fact, that life is not just about living with our dreams, but all come with nightmares that we can always wake up from and the appreciation of life because we can learn from it and think of it as a chance to grow. And the most important A is affection, love towards family friends, even the little things and most of all, God’s love is greater than the temporal things in life.”
On behalf of the Provincial Governor, Aurelio “Oyie” Umali, Atty. Jose San Pedro Department head of the Tourism Industry and the Provincial Government of Nueva Ecija attended the said event and gave his inspirational message. He stated, “Don’t stop dreaming for ourselves dahil pag tayo na mismo ang nawalan ng pag-asa na magkaroon ng magandang buhay sa sarili na’tin and achieve more because the impact that it will create ay hindi lamang sa sarili natin o sa pamilya na’tin kundi para din sa komonidad na’tin. Kayo ang mga bagong Novo Ecijanos na magbibigay ng pagkakataon sa mas marami pang Novo Ecijanos na magkaroon ng trabaho at inspirasyon sa iba sa pamamagitan ng TESDA.”
Moreover, Ms. Teresita Manzon gave an introduction to the guest speaker of this program – the TESDA Provincial Director of Nueva Ecija, Mr. Elpidio D. Mamaril Jr.
PD Mamaril expressed his gratitude to all the scholars for their commitment to finish the TESDA scholarship Program, “we are very proud of you because TESDA is really here to provide scholarship program to capacitate you; and, your graduation doesn’t end because we really would like you to apply the skills that you’ve learn through self-employment or wage employment” he added.
Afterward, the program proceeded to the confirmation of graduates led by the PD Mamaril, then followed by the awarding of certificates of completion and special awards. All the scholars gladly received the second batch of their allowances after the graduation ceremony.
