TESDA-PCCI Meeting on July 19, 2022

In preparation to the TESDA-PCCI Meeting on July 19, 2022, Provincial Director Melanie Grace T. Romero and Supervising TESD Specialist Rexie R. Argonza convened a meeting with the SBFCC Officials represented by Board Director Edwin J. Piano and MOCCI Officials Mr. Carlos Gamboa, Mr. Homer P. Guerrero and Ms. Raquel Fabanila on July 15, 2022 at Nicco’s Restaurant located at Seorabel Grand Leisure Hotel in Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
Discussions in the meeting were focused on the Priority Skills in the Province of Zambales and City of Olongapo as a result of the skills mapping conducted in 2021 which is based on data gathered from DOLE-Zambales and SBMA from its job vacancy lists from 2018 – June 2019. Accordingly, tourism, and social community development and other services sectors are the top sectors in the list.
TESDA is requesting that the two (2) local chambers provide an update on the results of the said priority skills and identify the priority industries. Inputs to be provided shall be prioritized in training programs that will be conducted by TESDA to respond to the manpower needs of the industries and increase employment in the area.
