The Virtual Graduation and Recognition of the Batch 1 of Korean Language and Culture Course
On May 18, 2022, Korea-Philippines Information Technology Training Center-Bulacan (KPITTC-Bulacan), in partnership with the E-Volunteer Program of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), conducted the Virtual Graduation and Recognition of the first batch of trainees under Korean Language and Culture Course for year 2022. A total of twenty five (25) trainees attended the said graduation along with their Trainer/Facilitator, Dr. Rosemarie S. Guirre and Mr. Lee Seok Woo, E-Volunteer Trainer/Expert. On behalf of Ms. Kathrine R. Angeles, KPITTC’s Center Administrator, Ms. Dennie E. Domingo, Vocational Instruction Supervisor, and Ms. Beroneca T. Cabintoy, Acting Administrative Officer and KOICA focal person, attended the graduation. It was hosted by Ms. Rizzalynne C. Molina, KPITTC’s Registrar. To show their continuous support and cooperation, representatives from KOICA attended the said event, headed by Ms. Choi Yoonhee, World Friends Korea (WFK) Volunteer Program Coordinator, together with Ms. Germaine Deanne Gutierrez, Ms. Jofeleen Porras, and Ms. Sheena Balinsoy, WFK Assistant Program Managers.
After a total of thirteen (13) days or one hundred (100) hours of training, 25 trainees were presented and conferred as graduates of Korean Language and Culture Course-Batch 1. Subsequent to the presentation and conferment of graduates, the recognition of the top performing trainees was highlighted. The recognition and awarding of tokens to Top 3 Trainees of Korean Language and Culture Course-Batch 1 was made possible through the initiative of Mr. Lee Seok Woo, who requested the budget for tokens from KOICA. As the Top 1 trainee, Ms. Jhoanna Marie I. Manuel received an Android Phone from KOICA, while Ms. Jhordane Larrize P. Sarno, Top 2 trainee, received a Power Bank and a Headset, and lastly, the Top 3 trainee, Mr. Mark Angelo V. Benedicto, received a Headset and a Flash Drive. These tokens shall be for the personal use of the Top 3 Trainees, either for their further study of Korean Language or for their employment application.
To express its gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Rosemarie S. Guirre and Mr. Lee Seok Woo, KPITTC also awarded Certificates of Appreciation to both of them for sharing their valuable knowledge as trainers/facilitators of Korean Language and Culture Couse. To formally end the program, Ms. Choi Yoonhee delivered her heartwarming Closing Remarks. On behalf of KOICA, she congratulated all the graduates and wished them well in their future endeavors in life.
As a way forward, KPITTC will monitor the employment status of these graduates and will extend necessary support in relation to their application if needed. Currently, KPITTC is preparing for the implementation of the next batch of the Korean Language and Culture Course. The next batch will commence once the scholarship has been downloaded from TESDA Central Office, together with the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
