Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan Caravan in Pampanga
Almost 4,000 jobseekers lined up as early as 7:00 am during the Trabaho, Nesgosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) – Jobs Fair and Business Opportunities Caravan held last May 1, 2019 at Kingsborough International Convention Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga in line with Labor Day Celebration.
Gracing the caravan are Labor Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III, TESDA Director General, Sec. Isidro S. Lapeña, PhD., CSEE and DTI’s Secretary Ramon M. Lopez. Also in attendance is Senator Joel J. Villanueva, the chairperson of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resource Development.
The World of Dance Philippines champion, FCPC Baliktanaw also performed a dance number during the opening ceremony.
Aside from the Job Fair, several activities are simultaneously conducted in the venue like lectures and seminars on Pre-Employment Requirements, PAG-IBIG Fund benefits, Livelihood training and Demonstration, Orientation on Philippine Qualification Framework and Learning Session on 21st Century Skills. Free services on Haircutting, Massage and Manicure Pedicure were provided by TESDA together with demonstration on Coffee Making/Preparation, Weaving and Handicrafts Making.
A total of 161 companies participated with 31,000 job vacancies up for grabs. As per preliminary reports 13% or a total of 490 job applicants are Hired on the Spots in local and overseas jobs.This well-attended event was organized by DOLE in cooperation with TESDA, DTI and other government offices who provided free services during the affair.
