Two-day Training for Trainers in Skillspreneurship
On February 23-24, 2023, TESDA Aurora hosted two-day Training for Trainers in Skillspreneurship headed by the OIC Provincial Director Edgardo D. Suarez, in partnership with the Aurora Association of Technical Vocational Institutions (AATVI) .Thirty-one (31) participants consist of trainers and personnel from different Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs), TESDA Technology Institution (TTI) and personnel from TESDA Aurora Provincial Office.
The training program aims to improve the quality of Entrepreneurship Training, create a unified understanding of Entrepreneurship Training, particularly in the conduct of TESDA Scholarship Programs under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) and Rice Extension Services Program (RESP), and increase the number of Entrepreneurship Trainers in the Province of Aurora.
Mr. Suarez, presented important topics such as Preparation for Entrepreneurship, Creating and Growing the Enterprise and also Generate your Business idea (GYB) and Start your Business idea (SYB).Legal Forms in Applying for Business was delivered by Ms. Guerlie Espina- TESD Specialist II of PTC Baler. Entrepreneurial Mind setting in the New Normal was discussed by Ms. Gizel Dukha from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). They provided key points and activities, as well as interventions in business generation, which trainers can use for conducting entrepreneurship training.
Mr. Jerome Lopez-Scholarship Focal facilitated an open forum for trainers to address issues and concerns while gaining a common understanding of how Entrepreneurship Training should be delivered. With the certificates being awarded to the participants, the training implies that TESDA is committed to strengthen the trainers through skills development and providing access to training on entrepreneurship to graduates of TVET program for self or wage employment to uplift their economic status.
