Zambales Mango Industry Board Meeting on July 21, 2022 at TESDA Iba, Zambales

TESDA Zambales Provincial Director Melanie Grace T. Romero holds the Zambales Mango Industry Board Meeting on July 21, 2022 at TESDA Iba, Zambales. Present during the meeting are the Chairman of ZMIB, Mr. Enrico Batungbacal, President and Chairmen of the Mango Growers and Producers Associations in the province as well as Heads and Representatives of DA, DOST, DTI and Provincial Agriculturist Office, President Ramon Magsaysay Statue University, namely, ACPO Gil David, DOST Provincial Director Bernadita Montevirgen, OIC-PA Cris Rabacca, Senior Trade-Industry Development Specialist Cynthia V. Jaravata, and PRMSU Regional Mango Research and Development Center Director, Dr. Janice M. Baysa, and her staff.
Highlights of the meeting include the current state of Mango Industry in Zambales, and the objectives of the IB, covering increasing production of Zambales mangoes, escalating its selling price or market value, developing its own identity, and empowering the stakeholders by providing the necessary skills. Forthcoming activities of the IB are the Launching of the ZMIB on August 2022 and the upcoming 2023 Mango Congress which will be hosted by Zambales.
