DRIVING SKILLS POWER FRONTLINE RESPONSE: TESDA TRAINS PNP AND BFP PERSONNEL IN DRIVING NC II—COMMUNITY-BASED TRAINING PROGRAM

Strengthening the skills of those who protect lives and property, TESDA Provincial Training Center – Baler (PTC-Baler) successfully conducted its Community-Based Training Program (CBTP) in Driving NC II from December 26, 2025, to January 19, 2026. The training gathered 25 uniformed frontliner, composed of 11 personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and 14 from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), all committed to enhancing their driving competencies in support of public safety and emergency response.

The program was held at PTC-Baler, where participants underwent classroom instruction, while the actual driving exercises were conducted along the bypass road at the boundary of Barangay Buhangin and Suclayin, Baler, Aurora, providing a realistic and controlled environment for practical training. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Larry B. Sollis, trainees sharpened their skills in defensive driving, road safety, emergency vehicle operation, and basic vehicle maintenance. The hands-on sessions simulated real-world conditions faced by PNP and BFP personnel, emphasizing discipline, alertness, and precision—critical elements when responding to emergencies where time and safety are paramount.

The joint training also strengthened inter-agency coordination, reflecting the teamwork required during actual operations.

The successful completion of the Driving NC II program highlights TESDA Aurora’s commitment to equipping frontline responders with industry-recognized and mission-critical skills. By combining classroom learning with real-road experience, the training enhanced operational readiness and reinforced safe, responsible driving practices. As participants return to their respective units, they bring with them improved competencies that translate into faster response times, safer operations, and stronger public service for the people of Aurora.
