ON JANUARY 29, 2026, THE TESDA PROVINCIAL TRAINING CENTER
Orion, Bataan, led by Center Administrator Engr. Aida Estacio, successfully conducted a Community-Based Training (CBT) for 32 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Bataan District Jail Female Dormitory, Orani, Bataan.
The activity was conducted under the coordination and guidance of Ms. Juliette Feliciano, Acting Provincial Director of TESDA Bataan, and was designed to play a vital role in the rehabilitation process of the PDLs by equipping them with practical, employable skills that can help restore their sense of purpose, self-worth, and readiness for life after detention.
The training covered two livelihood programs: Pandesal Making, facilitated by Trainer Mariam Salonga, and Hand Sanitizer Making, conducted by Ms. Daisy Mae Isidro. These hands-on training enabled the PDLs to acquire essential technical knowledge and skills that can be transformed into sustainable livelihood or small business opportunities.
The successful implementation of the activity was made possible through the support and cooperation of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Orani, under the leadership of Acting District Jail Warden JCINSP Rizza Fuentes, who ensured a safe and conducive learning environment.
This collaborative effort underscores the importance of partnerships in delivering meaningful interventions for PDLs and highlights TESDA’s continued commitment to empowering marginalized sectors through skills training that fosters rehabilitation, self-reliance, and hope for a better future.
