TESDA AURORA, AFP STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY SUPPORT PARTNERSHIP THROUGH REFRESHER TRAINING
The Community Support Program Refresher Training for AFP personnel was conducted on February 6, 2026 at the 91st Infantry (Sinagtala) Battalion as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen inter-agency coordination in support of community development and peace-building initiatives.
TESDA Aurora took part in the activity through the presence of Supervising TESD Specialist Jerome H. Lopez, who provided an overview of the agency’s current programs and services that may be integrated into the AFP’s community support initiatives. The discussion focused on how TESDA’s technical vocational education and training interventions can help address skills gaps and livelihood needs at the community level through CBTVET, EBET, Micro Credentialing Course, Scholarships, and Assessment.
Through this collaboration, skills training and livelihood interventions can be more effectively integrated into community support programs, particularly in areas where the AFP maintains a strong presence. The partnership enables both institutions to complement each other’s mandates in promoting peace, self-reliance, and sustainable community development.
