TESDA PTC-BALER EMPOWERS PDLs AND PAROLEES THROUGH CBTP ON BPP NC II AT BJMP BALER

TESDA Provincial Training Center – Baler (PTC-Baler) successfully conducted its Community-Based Training Program (CBTP) in Bread and Pastry Production NC II, held from December 26, 2025, to January 19, 2026, at the BJMP facility—Baler, Aurora. The program offered Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and Parolees a unique opportunity to transform their time into a journey of learning, skill-building, and self-empowerment.

Trainees eagerly rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on, interactive learning experience, guided by Ms. Guerlie G. Espina and Mr. Raymark C. Corpuz, mastering everything from mixing dough and shaping pastries to proper food handling and sanitation. The program seamlessly combined short lectures, practical demonstrations, and group exercises, ensuring that learning remained meaningful—and fun—even for participants juggling personal and daily responsibilities.

Adding a heartwarming touch, each session concluded with a post-training meal, keeping participants energized while fostering camaraderie and community spirit. During the institutional assessment, trainees generously shared their baked goods with co-PDLs not enrolled in the program, spreading both skill and delight throughout the community.

Beyond skill-building, the program served as a beacon of hope and opportunity, highlighting TESDA Aurora’s unwavering commitment to inclusive development, particularly for marginalized sectors. By equipping participants with industry-recognized competencies, the training not only enhances employability and self-reliance but also sows the seeds for sustainable livelihoods, community empowerment, and socio-economic growth across the province.
