ATTENDANCE TO THE JOINT COMMITTEE HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 01-002

TESDA Aurora participated in the Joint Committee Hearing held on January 27, 2026 at the SP Conference Room, Provincial Capitol of Aurora. TESDA Aurora was represented by Mr. Jerome H. Lopez, Supervising TESD Specialist.

The joint committee hearing discussed Proposed Ordinance No. 01-002, entitled “An Ordinance Recognizing the Achievement of Individuals, Pairs or Groups who Excelled in Sports Skills and Academic Competitions, Granting Cash Incentives Therefor and Appropriating Funds for the Purpose.” The proposed measure seeks to institutionalize the recognition and provision of cash incentives to outstanding individuals and groups who have demonstrated excellence in sports, skills, and academic competitions.

It was noted that winners of TESDA Skills Competitions will be among the beneficiaries of this ordinance once enacted, highlighting the provincial government’s support for technical-vocational skills development alongside academic and sports achievements.

The ordinance is authored by Hon. Lloyd Alsen A. Delos Reyes and Hon. Randy O. Salo. TESDA Aurora’s participation in the hearing reflects the agency’s commitment to initiatives that recognize achievement, encourage excellence, and promote the holistic development of individuals in the province.
